(Loop Jamaica) The Appleton Estate Signature Nights series will treat live music lovers to a performance by Konshens at the Sky Dweller Ultra Lounge in St Andrew on Thursday.
Konshens, who debuted his second album “It Feel Good” earlier this year featuring collaborations with local Jamaican heavyweights and global hitmakers, has risen to international acclaim and is looking forward to his upcoming performance on the Appleton Estate Signature Nights stage:
“Well, I’m excited about this show for sure. I hardly get to sing in Jamaica, so I’m happy every time I get a chance, especially when I know it’s going to be mostly original fans present. It’s going to be a nice little rollercoaster,” he said in a press release.
With songs spanning various topics, he is expected to deliver something for everyone with timeless music covering his 13 years on the Jamaican music scene.
“Big Belly,” the leading single from his album, is expected to be a crowd pleaser in addition to “Bruk Off Yuh Back,” “Mirror” and “Bassline”, among others.
An intimate setting featuring live entertainment, paired with Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum, is slated for Thursday’s staging of the series. This notes Leleika-Dee Barnes, Customer Marketing Manager, J. Wray and Nephew Limited, is in keeping with Appleton Estate’s thrust to provide a signature “edutainment” experience for patrons:
“Appleton Estate Signature Nights is all about providing a unique experience for our patrons, in the form of a rich edu-tainment package featuring some of the best names in Jamaican music, exquisitely paired with our world-renowned rum,” she said.
She continued: “We invite patrons to come out to Sky Dweller Ultra Lounge this Thursday for a night to remember as they enjoy great music from Konshens.”
Admission to the event is $500, and patrons will also get a free mason jar with the purchase of a Q at $1200. Gates open at 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 18, with the hour long set commencing at 9pm. Patrons must be 18 years or older to enter and enjoy Appleton Estate Signature Blend.
