Sizzla concert cancelled

Organizers of the anticipated return of Sizzla has been cancelled citing non-payment to the artist after his performance at the One Love Festival held in Toronto this past weekend. The organizers of the event announced the cancellation of the show minutes prior to door opening at the Olympia. See response below from L’Olympia’s Team:

“In the light of the day we had, we are in the obligation to cancel the SIZZLA show tonight. Sizzla don’t want to perform due to the absence of ONE LOVE FESTIVAL TORONTO’s payment. All the tickets will be properly refunded.

For any complaints, please contact the responsible (Dwayne Hines) of the production ONE LOVE FESTIVAL TORONTO, whom never hesitated to abuse and benefit from L’Olympia’s system. The refund procedures will be communicated to you very soon.

Sizzla Kalonji, known often as simply Sizzla, is a Jamaican dancehall reggae music artist and a frequent subject of controversy for lyrics that advocate violence, including murder, against the LGBTQ community.
