Big Ship Music Festival is BACK!!!

The highly anticipated Big Ship Music Fest is back in full swing in its second year of staging, with a much talk about hybrid entertainment lineup. Its founder Reggae legend Freddie McGregor noted that all the necessary Covid-19 safety measurements will be put in place to protect all attendees. According to the Big Ship crooner, “nothing is more important to me than the safety of our valued fans, this is where the Big Ship Risk Assessment Team will be working effectively on ground to ensure patrons adhere to all the necessary COVID-19 protocols.” Last year would have been the second staging of the event; however, due to the pandemic, the event was postponed.

The Big Ship Music Fest was first held on July 6, 2019, at the Port Charlotte County Fairgrounds; attracting approximately 1,000 +fans, and has showcased the likes of notable Reggae acts Marcia Griffiths, Everton Blender, Glen Washington, Hopeton Lindo, Chino McGregor, Perfect Giddimani and Freddie McGregor himself.


This year’s one-day magical star-studded lineup includes astounding Jamaican music stars such as Cocoa Tea, Freddie McGregor, Etana, Anthony B, Chino McGregor, Mykal Rose , Perfect and more. All backed by the award winning Code Red Band. Music by Earthquake Sound, Felix International Sound, and DJ Diamond. The event will be hosted at Port Charlotte County Fairgrounds, the home of the Big Ship Music Fest.

Tickets were first made available online on March 31, and on that said day VIP tickets were being purchased. According to Freddie, “I am very excited about how the ticket sales have been going in the wee-period of the event, also I am surprised that it’s mostly VIP tickets being sold. This result indicates that the event will be well attended.”

The event will be streamed based on the numerous request from Reggae lovers globally to give them a taste of the one-day summer explosive event.
