Fantan Mojah Talks Rasta Yaad on latest single

Rasta Yaad is the latest single from singjay Fantan Mojah, which is due for release on Friday November 25 via Donsome Records.

The song is the lead track from the various artistes rhythm project of the same name, which will be officially released early next month.

The Rasta Yaad rhythm was produced by Adrian ‘Donsome’ Hanson.

Fantan Mojah explained how he got involved with the project.

“I was introduced to the project by Turbulence. It’s the unity and the love of the Rasta community and what we stand for, that gave me the inspiration to write the song,” said Fantan Mojah.

This is Fantan’s first time working with the veteran producer.

“It’s my first time working with Donsome Records and I am loving the feedback on this project,” he said.

The other tracks and artistes featured on the Rasta Yaad rhythm project are Most High by Anthony B, Still a Love Jah by Lutan Fyah, Why Not Live by Turbulence, Brutal by Mykal Rose, Putting Up Resistance by Ginjah, Rocky Roads by newcomer Kaibanon, and That’s Right by Junior Kelly.

Said Hanson, “I have been working on this project for over 18 months and based on the mystical vibe of the rhythm itself, I knew the direction, but at the time I didn’t give it a name, until Fantan Mojah recorded his song “Rasta Yaad” that’s when I named the project Rasta Yaad.”

The project features primarily Rastafarian recording artistes. A move Hanson said was strategic.

“It’s a blessing to have 90 % Rastafarian artistes on the project, but I still stick to my strategy, where on every project I always give a young artiste the opportunity to be on the project with the established artistes. This time we give Kaibanon the opportunity, which I’m very impressed with and I think he has one of the best songs on the project,” Hanson disclosed.

‘Rasta Yaad’ is distributed by RhythmZZ Digital Distribution and now available for streaming and purchase worldwide on all major distribution platforms.
