Making Major Moves! D-Major Takes Uganda and New York and Drops New Music!

(L3 Publicity) International recording artist D-Major has had a ‘major’ summer (pun intended)! The multi-genre artist toured Africa with good friend and fellow Reggae star Christopher Martin which included a stop in Uganda. Straight from the heart of Africa, Major was on a flight to New York to perform at Angela Yee Day in Brooklyn’s Federation Park.

Co-headlining the All-Star Bell Jam concert in Uganda’s capital city of Kampala, Major rose to the occasion delivering an incredible performance for the capacity crowd. Songs such as his new single “Fallin’,” “Good Vibes” and his anthem “Real Know Real” were all well received. Fans let it be known that they couldn’t get enough of the artists music; video was captured from every angle and flooded Instagram and Twitter timelines. “It’s incredible to see how far music, and particularly Reggae music has reached. Fans in Uganda definitely let me know they love what I do and that is special” said D-Major to media after the concert.

Traveling with the momentum and love shown by Uganda, Major took flight to Queens, New York where he made a cameo appearance at the Grace Jerk Fest. Now in its 9th year, Major made sure to please the discerning crowd. “It is very hard to impress me” said Marva who has been attending Jerk Fest from the beginning, “but D-Major left such a stamp on that stage that I am now a fan. I will follow his music.”

The next stop was Brooklyn, New York where he attended the first annual Angela Yee Day. The day, hosted by Christopher Martin was produced as an honor for the native New Yorker and host of The Breakfast Club on Power 105.5 FM. When called on stage, Major performed his rendition of “Unchained Melody” (originally written and performed by The Righteous Brothers) which had every patron in the building weak and Angela giving cheers of approval. Celebrity guests Busy Signal, Noah Powa, Dovey Magnum and Naomi Cowan all co-signed on the outstanding performance.

Backstage, Major was interviewed by media to which he spoke about his career thus far, and new music impacting radio.
