Produced by Busy Signal for his label Gorilla Music Source, “Bang Bung” hears both artists DJ in spit-fire rounds with lyrics that boast of a high-grade advantage when facing foes while having the special touch that ladies like. The musical vibe hits just in time for summer.
What started as a studio freestyle turned in to one of the hottest and most anticipated collaborations. Radio DJs, fans and tastemakers were given an official leak of “Bang Bung” when Bounty Killer went live on his Instagram page with a listen-and-look at the recording session in progress. Debuted in the UK with Mixmaster J, the seasoned broadcaster said “this chune is one of the hottest songs for 2021 … it can’t cool!”
Going viral on social media, Bounty Killer shared live video of he and Busy Signal at the legendary King Jammy’s studio listening to a rough mix of the song. The video had fans eagerly anticipating the songs official release and picked up key endorsements including famed music producer John John, son of King Jammy’s. Celebrities who offered comments on the collaboration includes Tarrus Riley, Dexta Daps, Estelle and Dre Island.

Collaborator and beat-maker Jovi Di Pree shares “as soon as Busy heard the beat, a light bulb went on and he went to the booth to record. It was one-take. There was no punch in and punch out. Everything you hear is all Busy on a solid and consistent flow.”
Once Busy recorded his verse, he met with Bounty Killer where the two recorded Bounty’s session. The energy between both musicians can be seen in a photo captured by Busy.
Busy Signal describes the collaboration as “real Dancehall” and “something for real fans of the music.”
